This policy explains how OnwardsUp collects and uses information when you visit this KonnectYou moving-quotes information page, and the rights you have under UK data protection law.

This page is an independent information resource about comparing moving-related quotes. OnwardsUp does not directly provide surveying or conveyancing services. When you request quotes through KonnectYou, that platform collects and handles the information you submit under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.

1 Who we are

This page is operated by OnwardsUp ("we", "us", "our"), a digital media and marketing partnerships business based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, OnwardsUp is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

2 What this policy covers

This policy applies to this KonnectYou information page and the web address it is hosted on. It does not apply to KonnectYou, to the conveyancers or surveyors you may be matched with, or to any other website we link to. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we recommend you read them before submitting any personal information.

3 Information we collect

Information you give us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything else you choose to include. We use this only to respond to you. We do not collect the details of your move on this page itself, that happens on KonnectYou's own site once you click through.

Information collected automatically

We do not run general website analytics, advertising pixels or social media tracking on this page. We do load one third-party script, provided by our affiliate tracking partner Trackbeam, which measures clicks on our links so a referral can be correctly attributed to us. The information involved is:

  • Standard server information recorded by our web host to serve and secure the page, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit
  • Technical and interaction information processed by the Trackbeam script, such as your browser and device details, the page you were on, and which link you clicked

We do not ask for or collect sensitive personal information on this page, and we do not sell your personal information.

4 Cookies and similar technologies

We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels or social media tracking on this page.

We do use a click-measurement script provided by Trackbeam, our affiliate tracking partner. It runs when the page loads and records which of our links you click, so that a referral to KonnectYou can be attributed to us. Depending on how it is configured, this script may set a cookie or store an identifier in your browser for that attribution. Trackbeam processes this information under its own privacy policy.

You can control or clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop you using this page or requesting quotes through KonnectYou.

5 How and why we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Operate, secure and maintain this page
  • Measure whether our advertising led to quote requests, and manage our campaigns
  • Respond to enquiries you send us

Under UK GDPR, our lawful basis is legitimate interests: keeping the page secure and running correctly, measuring which of our links are clicked so referrals are attributed correctly, and responding to messages you send us. We do not use this information to build a profile of you or to target advertising at you.

6 Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information with service providers who process it on our behalf or under their own policies:

  • Trackbeam for affiliate conversion tracking and attribution when you click through to KonnectYou
  • KonnectYou and its network of conveyancers and surveyors, only if you choose to click through and submit a quote request. From that point, your information is handled under their policies, not ours.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or to protect our rights and the security of this page.

7 International data transfers

Some of our providers, including Trackbeam, may be based outside the UK, so your information may be transferred internationally. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as UK approved contractual clauses (the International Data Transfer Addendum) or a valid adequacy decision, so your information keeps a similar level of protection.

8 How long we keep information

We keep conversion-tracking data for as long as needed to measure and manage our campaigns, in line with the retention settings of the providers listed above. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed.

9 Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete your information in certain circumstances
  • Ask us to restrict or object to how we use your information
  • Ask us to transfer your information (data portability)
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out

10 Children

This page is intended for adults planning a house move. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
